Committee
Our Committee is a voluntary body made up of parents and carers of Pre-School children and members of the local community.
The Committe is made up of three officials, the Chairperson. Secretary and Treasurer and other elected members. It meets at least once a term and holds an AGM at the beginning of each academic year.
Our committee members are extremely important to us as our charity thrives thanks to the dedication of the many different people who join.
Chair of Committee
Chris Taylor
My youngest son attended Old Catton Pre-School and I got involved in the Committee in 2018.
I believe that we all have a key role to play in ensuring that the children receive the best possible standard of education and care during their time with us.
We are always ready to welcome new members to our Committee!
Our Testimonials
What our parents think about our Pre-School
Picking the right Preschool for your child is an important decision, and we want to support you every step of the way. Read testimonials from other parents below, and get in touch with questions.
"Our daughter has thrived since joining Old Catton Pre-School, she has so much more confidence now and is much more independent!"
"Both my children attended this excellent Pre School and both have had a wonderful time. It is a true gem in this village.
The staff are very caring and supportive, they make time to talk to you if have any questions. The school has a very nurturing but fun atmosphere. My children both looked forward to going to everyday, seeing their little friends and staff members.
As its located on the infant school site, my children found the transition to the infant school was made easier too"
"Our little boy absolutely loves being part of Old Catton Pre-School, and he has been lucky enough to have a fantastic key worker - who has really encouraged him to gain confidence, try new activities and make new friends along the way. All of the staff are friendly, happy, caring, fun, approachable and passionate; ensuring the children have a fantastic time playing and learning both inside and outdoors.
The staff really excel at keeping us regularly informed with photos and information/advice, which we feel is very important - as we like to hear about what our son is doing during his sessions. They are clearly putting a great foundation in place to prepare the children for 'big' school. We know our son is in the very safest of hands, and just can't recommend the Pre-School enough."
"Old Catton Pre-School is an amazing place for children to play, learn and grow. The staff are great with the children, so kind and caring. Both my children love attending and can't wait to tell me about all the fun they have had and things they have learnt. Thank you for everything you do."
"The provision at the preschool is excellent, there are always new, exciting and imaginative things for the children to do and explore.
The staff are enthusiastic and always have big smiles on their faces for the children and the parents.
We are kept up to date with regular pictures of our son so we know what he’s been up to and can talk to him about it at home. He loves seeing the pictures and will happily tell us what he was doing and who he was playing with.
When our son was nervous about returning to Pre-School after a break due to lockdown the staff went above and beyond to help him feel better, even giving him his own personal Zoom call. It really helped him to feel better and he ended up excited to return rather than anxious."
"Our daughter loves attending preschool. The staff are all lovely and have gone out of their way to establish relationships and keep in touch with the new children and parents during the pandemic."
